These mammoth molar pen blanks are cut from blocks that has been kiln-dried, cast in stabilizing resin, and heat-cured for a period of one week. This technique results in a much more stable and durable material, minimizing deformation during cutting, sanding, or turning.

The interior white blanks are raw, perfectly incact pieces of mammoth tusk that survived thousands of years under groud without deteriorating.

The prices are for a single blank shown in the photos. The items pictured are the actual pieces you will receive. We do our best to show all its features so please look closely before purchasing.

This is a genuine mammoth fossil, dating back to the last Ice Age, and is approximately 20,000 years old. Mammoth ivory is a great material for knife and pistol grips, inlays, jewelry, pens, and other semi-precious applications.
